Bridging UI and Hardware

Summer Doesn’t Spare Anyone
Summer has arrived — the season of vacations and travel. It’s not the best time for staying focused, and other projects are demanding attention too. Still, work goes on at its own pace.
Just so you know — the sea and the beach won’t defeat us… or if they do, it’ll be on our terms! ;)
Start/Stop Buttons Now Working
Over the past month, we’ve managed to link the user interface with the device hardware. Image transmission from the sorter’s camera to remote devices — such as smartphones, tablets, or computers — is also in place now.
The results may not look like a big leap, but behind the scenes there was some refactoring involved. Thankfully, it all worked out smoothly, with no stress or drama.
The video shows a short demo of the sorting process — still without recognition at this point.
What’s Next
Now it’s time to focus on developing and filling the database — at least for one game, most likely MTG.
This stage will include not only preparing a card list, but also collecting images and identifying traits and classifiers for future sorting.
Once that’s done, we’ll finally be able to return to developing the card recognition module.
But not all at once — one step at a time. ;)
To be continued...
